Frequently Asked Questions
What if it rains?
Weather happens! If it looks like rain on the day of your photoshoot, we have two options:
-
We can reschedule-especially if kiddos are part of the shoot—to ensure everyone's comfort.
-
If the rain isn't too heavy, and the location permits, we can still move forward with the shoot.
Your comfort and satisfaction are my priority! If rain is in the forecast (or even if it shows up the morning of your shoot!), I’ll be in touch so we can make the decision that best suits you.
Can we bring our dog?
Absolutely! Provided that the location is dog-friendly, your pup is more than welcome to join the photoshoot. However, if there will be young children or babies involved in the shoot, I ask that you bring a friend for an extra set of hands to assist with holding the leash as needed.
What should we wear?
Once your photoshoot is confirmed, I’ll email you a six-page style guide. In this guide, I’ll go over my tips for what to include and what to avoid when choosing outfits for your upcoming shoot. You’ll also get exclusive access to my Style & Select page making outfit selection easier than ever!
Help! I don’t have a location in mind.
That’s okay! If you have an idea of the vibe you are looking for (i.e., beach, field, etc.), I am happy to provide suggestions!

What if my kids are crabby?
I totally understand – we all have off days! My number one priority is to create an atmosphere full of genuine laughter and fun…and sometimes that means getting extra silly. Plus, I always have stickers for your kiddos to choose from as a fun treat at the end of the session!

What time of day is best to schedule a shoot?
To ensure the best lighting conditions, I try to schedule outdoor shoots during golden hour (about an hour before sunset) but sunrise is also great!
In-home shoots look best with natural light, so I recommend scheduling for morning/early afternoon.

How do I need to prepare my house for an in-door shoot?
Preparing your house for an indoor photoshoot can seem overwhelming, especially if you’ve just welcomed a newborn. Your home is a place where memories are being made and I want your photos to reflect that.
During the shoot, we'll prioritize rooms with the best natural light to showcase your space at its finest. I recommend just a quick tidying up of the areas we'll be photographing in. A quick pick-up of any clutter or personal items that you prefer not to be featured in the photos is perfect.
